Successful Entrepreneur after Out from School

Born in 1980, Haruhisa Okamura (picture above), is the founder and CEO of Adways, one of Japan's largest technology company that focuses on online advertising. Adways also has an ad network, internet services, as well as its own mobile games. At present, the company already has more than 1,000 employees worldwide and earned revenues of more than $ 221 million last year.
But the most amazing thing of Okamura is, he is one of the founder's youngest ever bring a company from zero to IPO in Japan.

Okamura's success can be achieved either because he started his career very early. At the age of 16 years, Okamura decided that he was too cool for school. He chose to drop out of school to work as a sales in a company.
"I can not make friends in school, so I decided to work early," he said.

Attracted by the Internet fever

In 2000, the Internet fever struck Japan, and it makes the emergence of many Internet companies in the country. Okamura amazed and want to take part in this industry."I saw the CEO CyberAgent [Susumu Fujita] on the TV and I was so inspired by it," he said.At that time he did not know much about the internet and laugh because at that time he thought "CyberAgent is the internet."

Okamura tried to apply for a job at CyberAgent, but was rejected. Did not have much choice, he finally decided to set up their own online marketing company.

In February 2001, Adways finally stand. With a capital of USD 10,000, Okamura spent $ 3,000 to buy a computer first. The rest of the money he later used to build an email marketing software. To get a talented developer, he came to the university engineering and randomly distributed leaflets and pitching to the students to convince them to help build a system that he planned. He eventually found one person who wants to work with paid USD 5,000. But unfortunately these products could not be used.

Although it failed in its products, Okamura not give up. He even came to the university superior engineering and pitching back to the student. He was almost bankrupt. So, rather than offering direct salary, it offers 30 percent of the proceeds from Adways if the person he recruits can make the software he wanted.
